Who I am

When I joined Endaoment, it was one founder and a freshly approved 501(c)(3). I built everything else from scratch: documentation, processes, finance, hiring, internal systems, and the system that gets granted funds to nonprofits. Today I run operations and own the core API the platform runs on.

Before Endaoment I spent five years at Morgan Stanley in Wealth Management Finance, running CCAR balance-sheet consolidations during the E*TRADE acquisition, and administering a $1B non-comp expense budget.

What I like most is taking a fragile manual process apart, step by step, and rebuilding it so it runs the same way every time and fails loudly when it can't.

What I'm working on

  • Running Endaoment's operations and backend, including 70+ automated services in production and the shared code behind them.
  • Building the system that pays out grants end to end, with a full dry run of every batch before any money moves.
  • Automating how donated assets get sold, so there's always cash on hand for grants without anyone placing trades by hand.
  • Writing down how our team builds software with AI agents: the rules they follow, the checks their work must pass, and guides for the humans alongside them.
  • Maintaining validators.endaoment.org, our open-source guide to running an Ethereum validator.

  1. 2021 – Current

    Chief Operating Officer

    Giving Tree Technologies & Endaoment.org, Remote

    • Second team member, joining the founder at 501(c)(3) approval (pre-seed); built operations, tech stack, and all internal systems from scratch and directed recruitment across all departments.
    • Scaled the operational systems behind a pioneering onchain 501(c)(3) to over $155M in nonprofit impact since launch (live stats: impact.endaoment.org), and led it through its largest-ever financial audits.
    • Oversaw company growth to successful seed round (10% raised at $50m valuation, 2022).
    • Built 70+ production cloud functions handling gated liquidation pipelines that run from sale through settlement and page a human only when one must act (FIPS 140-2 HSM-signed transactions), automated contract calls across Ethereum, Base, and Optimism, brokerage dividend reinvestment with time-weighted allocation, and multi-source NAV verification, all running through one shared transaction pipeline with structured alerting and end-to-end traceability.
    • Built payout orchestration system that moves granted funds end to end (donation to nonprofit grant delivery) with a live dashboard, per-chain Tenderly bundle simulation, ACH approval routing and human verification gates, policy overrides, and ledger-based restricted gift splits.
    • Own the core API alongside the operations stack: built a rebalance execution route backed by a durable blockchain dispatch coordinator, batch payout simulation, a partner settled-DAF migration endpoint, idempotent pledge locks, and Pub/Sub event publishing.
    • Architected an Nx monorepo with TypeScript shared libraries covering 50+ core utilities, GCP services, brokerage and external integrations with multi-environment Terraform and GCP management.
    • Concurrently managed operations and finances for both the tech company and the nonprofit, overseeing multi-million-dollar annual budgets across entities; built finance and operations processes from one-off, segmented flows into typed libraries with shared functionality and deterministic behavior.
    • Built internal developer platform including a portal with codegen-driven catalogs, custom Nx deploy executors with auto-rollback, a mutation-testing program, a shared mock factory, keyless CI authentication via workload identity federation, and a single type-check gate across >150 projects. Led toolchain modernization: TypeScript 7, Nx 23, ESLint 10 flat config, NestJS 11 and Express 5 among others.
    • Automated release lifecycle across app repositories: an orchestrator runs the release-candidate kickoff, enforces release policy, gates schedule drift, and routes review work to the right owners.
    • Designed agentic development methodology with layered context rules, cross-session agent memory with lifecycle governance, and validation gates wired into downstream remediation flows.
    • Designed the policy and risk layer for digital asset operations, mapping policies and risk categories to guardrails built into the systems: jurisdiction gating at intake, CI-enforced secrets governance with access and change logging, and automated regulatory reporting end to end.
    • Published open source Ethereum validator operations guide, validators.endaoment.org, covering Prysm/Reth (prev. Geth) setup, upkeep, emergency, and monitoring. ~100% Uptime.
    • Own day-to-day functions (finance, ops, HR, legal) with an "extreme ownership" approach.

    • Spearheaded consolidation of WM Balance Sheet under stressed scenarios during Federal Reserve Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR) runs (4-6/year); engineered tools and templates to boost process efficiency and traceability.
    • Orchestrated the consolidation of E-Trade and Morgan Stanley WM balance sheets post-acquisition, helping to manage an extensive portfolio of $650Bn in assets and liabilities.
    • Administered a $1Bn non-compensation expense budget for Wealth Management, optimizing allocation based on historical activity, emerging initiatives, and market conditions.
    • Designed and monitored the weekly production of a management-level Operating Committee deck to fuel strategic decision-making; findings presented on revenue, expense, and custodied asset movement.
    • Amplified group throughput by initiating the development of various templates to automate processes or significantly enhance efficiency, freeing up time for in-depth analysis.

Qualifications

  • Systems architect skilled at converting manual processes into deterministic serverless workflows: staged pipelines with explicit gates, replay guards, and escalation only when a human decision is needed.
  • Operations engineer with production experience in TypeScript, Python, and GCP with Terraform; migrates legacy scripts into typed, tested libraries with fixture-backed parity guarantees.
  • Built typed API client libraries spanning banking (Mercury, Circle, Chariot), brokerages (Schwab, Alpaca, Coinbase, Anchorage, Altruist), blockchain explorers (Etherscan, Dune, Beaconchain), and productivity tools (Cursor, Notion, Discord, Calendly, Otter.ai), all with shared utility patterns.
  • Background in risk management and policy enforcement for digital asset operations, including jurisdiction gating at intake and automated regulatory reporting, alongside integrations with Coinbase, Circle, Uniswap, AAVE, SAFE, etc.
  • Track record training teams, documenting SOPs, and driving best practice adoption.
